What do you guys think about Joe Torre going over to the west with the Dodgers? I am a huge Yankee fan and that just disappointed me big time. But, I want your feedback on what's going on and how long you think he'll last over there in the west once again.
Yankee fans
I am a Yankee fan and I was sad to see Joe go, but this is what we do. I think he will be successful in the NL especially since the Dodgers and Mets are up there when it comes to the NL.
I didn't know that Torre went over to the NL. I thought he just retired. That upsets me too because i am a Yankee fan too. Yankees are not doing well at the start of the season. Maybe it is a curse of the Torre!

i think the relationship between Torre con George steinbrener was broke
our yankees are going to get old, more visible on the pitching body, or we have granpas or babys except for wang

I think after any period of time, the particular coaching or teaching philosophy of a coach or manager no longer works. You saw in the way the Yankees, the fans, and George were upset with the way the team has not won a World Series in several years despite the increasing payroll. I don't think it was all Torre's fault as some of the signings and trades of big name players was not working and the Yankees finally decided to take a few steps back and develop their farm talent.
So with this change in philosophy, I guess they also wanted a change in the manager's position. Torre had a few bumps and troubles in the first couple of weeks in Los Angeles, but I think it was trying to get acquainted with his new hitters, his new bullpen, and the general adjustment to being back in the NL.

I'm a Dodger fan and I was not a fan of the Joe Torre signing. I thought we should have gotten Girardi instead. I do not think any manager is worth what we're paying Torre. I'd rather see that money spent on signing Logan White's draft picks instead of letting them go.
