A beginner web editor

Hi every body:

I am now taking my first web design class. This is something that is new to me. I have never taken this type of class before. It is scary trying to learn the concepts and creating a web page. In addition, it is time consuming. Could I please get some help from an expert? Smile.

Hey Ms. Gerly20,

This is my first web design class also. I can't wait to see how my web page is going to turn out. If I have any questions or need help I am going to be calling on you since I sit right behind you.

I can recommend www.w3schools.com for learning web languages. (I wonder how many times I've recommended it now Razz )

I hope you enjoy this place. I have. You will find something about anything you are interested in and if not you can always create a new forum topic to find someone that can chat about most things that may interest you.

Having a good design editor really helps. Many editors have code completion or tooltip help - sometimes making writing code a lot easier.

I have found that a good way to learn things like this is to read questions and answers from other web designers here on the design forums (Webmaster and Internet). The topics will make no sense sometimes - and that's ok... simply read one that interests you and follow the threads and links.

I would also suggest that tutorials are great. They are even better if you follow the instruction step by step to really learn the tutorials.

The best way to learn though is through repetition. You need to write the simple "Hello world" program first, eh. Just reading the examples doesn't always do it since your brain's power to recall is linked to having trained the brain.
