My Razr got wet doing the dishes on Thanksgiving and I have tried to replace it. The new model is not synching with my Microsoft Outlook address book because the Motorola software (Motorola Mobile Phone Tools) is not communicating all the fields to my handset. Thus, I am missing about 15-20% of the new numbers. Motorola says this is a Windows Vista issue and that new drivers will do the trick. Does this make sense. So far they have not been able to get the right drivers to me.
Razr
Hi,
I haven't got a Razr but I have connected a few phones to my Pc, and from my experience the 'drivers' have always been installed with the software that connects to the phone.
So.. it sounds to me like Motorola are saying that they don't have Vista compatible software yet.
Have you tried running your software in XP compatibility mode?
Just find the .EXE file, Right click and select 'Properties'.
In the dialog that opens, select the 'Compatibility' tab,
Tick the box where it says 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:'
Hope this helps

At this point I have been told by Motorola that I have to manually move phone numbers from unrecognized fields to recognized ones.
