Hellow i am having a forum hosting in FRIHOST
the verision of the phpbb is 3.0 B
but now i have installed a new version of forum phpbb 3.0 RC8
i am having more than 51 member and more than 1000 of posts,
without affecting any user or post is it possible to import the datas
please help
Well I know that upgrading from 2.0 to 3.0 you do a clean install of 3.0 and then run the convert script (available from ctrl panel) to import all the data. Then you can get rid of the old one, if everything copied over correctly. Not sure if this works for you though.
Usually phpBB gives goor scripts which makes it eay to upgrade to the latest.
But since your not using the privious RC, it might be a bit more complicated.
Anyhow, usually you can find in the board admin panel an option somewhere to download your database. (In fact you could even use frihost "create backup" in directadmin to backup your db an your files...)
Anyway, so you can do it 3 ways (backing up your mysql tables)
1. In phpbb bard admin panel
2. Using phpmyadmin and using export
3. Use the backup option in directadmin

Login to phpBB with your admin account
Click on "Go to Administration Panel" at the bottom of the page
On the right hand panel find the heading "General Admin"
Click the link reading "Backup Database"
Choose "Full backup" and click the "Start Backup" button
