just wondering if any one has seen or heard of the potspace.com website. It mimics the myspace.com website in almost every way it's pretty cool. Well my friend wanted me to make him one because he doesn't really know a lot about computers but he heard of this site. Anyways does anyone know any css code or other code to customize the profiles? I've been searching around and can't find hardly anything but how to embed an mp3 song which I found useful

Judging by my experience with myspace profiles, I'd be adventurous enough to say that just about anything could possibly be better than myspace.Well i don't think it's any better but it is kind of cool. It's almost an exact clone of myspace. There are also almost no advertisements, and the colors and graphics are neat (a bong for online now icon). I don't know I just was helping a friend out I'm not personally going to start one.
I agree. MySpace really sux when it comes to customizing your site.
For instance, I made the background of my page black, with the background of both table table table and div table table to use a huge zombie image that is fixed. This way when you scroll through the page, it will as if you are looking through a window at the zombies. However, it only works sometimes and it REALLY annoys me.

Also, sites like that are not the greatest in the world, because they attract lots of people, which in turn attracts a lot of malicious activities. This can prove to be a huge problem with the whole Web 2.0 using AJAX a crap load. AJAX tends to be the leading way to do malicious activity on the web.
Just some thoughts...
-minty I see the zombies in your profile. That's a pretty cool effect indeed. However, in some areas, it makes the red text difficult to read, particularly in the areas where you haven't highlighted your text with a black background.
Also, there appears to be your real name and photos on your profile. Are you sure you want to give out that link here?
To embed an mp3 player you can try and find some site from where you can find an embed code for embedding flash based mp3 players. There are many do search for them.
Eh, I prefer myspace or facebook because most of the people I know are on there already.
I visited that site and got a little surprise. I guess it was a lack of my own common sense or I don't know, something. But I was shocked to find out it was actually about maurijauna. Anyway, I do agree that just about anything is better than Myspace. And I'm a minor...so it would be illegal for me to visit the site.
