When I am using an external monitor connected to my HP Pavillion laptop, the video cuts out when the laptop's fan runs (the fan operates on an intermitten basis, depending on the CPU temp). When the fan cuts on, the monitor goes black and reports "No Signal"...and then when the fan cuts off, the monitor returns to normal.
Any suggestions as to how to prevent the fan's operation from interferring with the external monitor's signal? I am already using the better quality monitor cables.
