Benchmarking Programmes

My list of possible laptop replacements has been narrowed down to two, namely the ACER Ferrari 4005 and the Sony VAIO VGN-S48GP/B. Hardware wise they are very similar, 2Ghz CPU, 512 RAM up to Gb, 100Gb HDD. XP pro as the OS. The major difference is the ACER has a 15.4" LCD, the Sony has a 13.3 which I assume accounts for the US$ 250 difference in price

Before making the final decision it would be nice if I could do a benchmarking on each. Can anyone advise me on a good free benchmarking programme.

I would say the fact that you are choosing the Ferrari version accounts for the $250 difference. Ferrari branding always insanely pushes up the price of anything. how much do the laptops cost anyways?
