ASUS ROG motherboards for Intel CPU

For a long time I'm asking myself a question "Which motherboard to buy for a new PC?" Just because I want to buy and forget about it for a few years - motherboard have to be kinda new to support all the new features.
I want to listen to your advices!

I think about buying Asus Maximus Extreme:

Motherboard based on X38 north and ICH9R south bridges, and contains:
- 45 nm proccessors support (Penryn)
- Dual DDR III 1800 ~ 800
- 3 PCI-E 2.0 slots and Crosslinx technology.
- 6 x SATA, 2 x PATA, 2 x eSATA.
- External sound card Supreme FX II.
- Cooling system covers voltage, northen, southen bridges and voltage. Can be connected to water cooling system.
- Overclocking features like C.P.R., LCD Poster, Onboard Switch, COP EX, Extreme Tweaker...

- Too expensive DDR III memory.

One more motherboard ASUS Maximus Formula SE.

- Dual DDR II 1200~667.
- 6 x SATA, 2 x PATA.
Other stuff is the same.

Prices 350~450$

What do you think about them? Which one is better? Maybe you have another motherboard to recomend?

Thank you! Twisted Evil
