I wonder if anyone likes to skateboard?
At the moment, I'm not quite sure if I like it, so I borrowed a board from a friend to test if I like it 
If it suits me, I'll probably "build" my own... I already checked what to buy 
You should become like Bam Margera; be a pro skater, but don't actually compete. Only skate in demos. Then you can star in Jackass and have an MTV show and such . He's quite the character. Haha, thanks But I dunno if I ever become that good, but I'm pretty sure I won't star in Jackass 
I used to skate a LOT,I stopped maybe a year or so back and focused myself with juggling instead.

Oh yeh skateboarding or snowboarding the later one is more comfortable.
Snowboarding has a very fast learning curve within hours you are up and away with a real feel for your board,but Snowboards are made for off piste,then the real fun starts it becomes even easier!!At the moment I mainly skate around without doing tricks (aside from not being able, I don't want to). I try to ollie sometimes 'cause it comes in handy in some situations, but I can't ollie that high yet...
Anyway, I assembled my own board. That's what it looks like.
I chose special ATF / Softcore-wheels by Bones. They were a bit expensive, but driving on the street with them is really smooth. I bought an element deck cause I really like this company and it's pretty neat as well... it was a bit complicated to find a deck that looks discreet without looking cheap.
I really like to skate around now, it still feels a bit weird because noone else here does it. But I really enjoy it. I often leave the train a station earlier to skate longer, even now when the temperature is below 0°C (for Fahrenheit-users: below 32°F).

It would nice to know where you get your read on.
I am now based in Austria I am English and getting hold of uk skate mags is allmost impossible and Im not too interested in the U.S. scene as its toooo far away!
So to make a bit of sense of this post I found a great internet site which focuses on European based skateboarders,check it out its under construction as a I write but its really worth a gander...

but haven't done much practice now
I tried skating for around three days about 2 years ago. I sucked at it. There are no places to skate in my area so I tried it on the street. It was embarassing to skate so poorly in front of all those pedestrians. But I would love to learn skating like tony hawks but till then I will play the skating game in my computer.
