MSDOS commands through the internet?

Hey, I was wondering if I am able to send MSDOS commands (start program.exe) to a different computer through the internet?

I am running a apache server, and I want to be able to kill the server (there is a .bat file that I will use) without getting off my chair. Razz

My friend said that it is impossible, but I am just checking.

it will be a serious security flaw if you can run dos command thru a web server.

why don't you use remote desktop?

Connecting via terminal could also be a good idea

VNC is actually for remote graphical control. If you only want to use text commands, use shell access (SSH) ...
