425 Could not open data connection to port!!!!

Hello,

For no apparent reason I started getting the 425 error whenever I try publishing to my site.
It can't be a firewall problem and I also downloaded FileZilla and tried it just in case but get the same error.

Please help because I'm getting a little worried.

425 Error is associated with firewall or any router that might be blocking the ports. You said cant be firewall problem what about router? try opening port 20 and 21.

try going to dos and type "ftp localhost" and see if it changes to ftp.if you cant means u have problem with ports and have to be 20 or 21.

One thing you can try is to change the ftp client setting to transfer in passive mode. that might fix the problem.If you are trying to publish ur site using frontpage, I dont think frontpage supports passive mode at all.
