How to... Run Internet Site From Windows Calculator

How to access the Internet via your standard Mcft Calculator
When your browser(s) is/are messed up for some unexplainable reason

1. Open your MS Calculator. This is normally found in Start => All Programs => Accessories => Calculator.
2. Open the help-window by pressing the F1 key.
3. Click the top-left corner icon of the help window once (Standard is a Document with a Questionmark).
4. Select Go to URL-address.
5. Type your address into the avaliable field, but remember to type http://, and not just www. (or equivalent).
6. Have fun!

Hope you remember this in case all else should fail!

Worked for me as long as I wrote http:// first
, not sure why you'd want to go in that way though.

Yes it works in Note pad etc., as well.

This is due to the application called Microsoft HTML help control which displays help files of windows applications. The help files are actually designed to display in an HTML reader and thus, the program is technically able to display any HTML content.

It uses the core component of Internet Explorer to display content.

but I am confused, why there is a "Go to URL" box in this program?

Great work man it really works its so simple now

Simple trick, works with most common help documents. Since this is a separate app which is unrelated to the calculator, the calculator just uses the help file.
