well, i guess emo is not the right way to describe george orwell, but i tend not to like his fantasy-sci fi dystopic novels.
instead, my favourite is a novel called "down and out in paris and london". it's one of the first novels that he wrote.
basically, it's about the life of the poor in, surprise surprise, paris and london. but the reason i like it is not because of the subject matter. instead, you can almost say that this book is a satire and comedy, even. its witty humor throughout the "interesting" lives of poor people really intrigued me.
anybody else read this book?
i was craving for garlic bread and tea after i read it...
