Google doing strange things

jylan
I've just noticed something strange in Google. Try searching for "Jylan Wynne" and the first result should be my photoblog. But the title text is the strange bit, because it says "Wynne, Jylan." Now, go to http://www.dmoz.org/Arts/Photography/Weblogs/Photoblogs/ and you'll see my photoblog listed near the end.

My photoblog, which is called Contrasting Sharply, has no occurences of "Wynne, Jylan" in its text, so I think that Google has taken the link text from a authoritive link (DMOZ directory) and applied it to my search result. What do you think?

Google uses DMOZ description in some way for sites listed there. I have no site listed there so I don't know how it looks like but you can add this meta tag to your pages:
Code:
<meta name="robots" content="noodp">

It makes google not use DMOZ for the description.

Thanks Peterssidan for that tip. *Entering the Wild West of Meta Tags Very Happy*
