Your own favorite photographs.

miacps
I decided to make this topic so that everyone out there can show off their own favorite pics that they've taken. The photographs can be of anything as long as you took them and consider them your favorites!

Photography is a small hobby of mine and even though I've never had a class on it or tried to take it too seriously, I've had some photos turn out pretty well!
Here are some of my favorites:

Taken on Old Wooden Bridge at Big Pine Key.

Master Splinter and the Clone playing in a tree.

So this last one is a little strange, I was playing with contrast in photoshop and for some reason I like it.

Now lets see yours!

Nice pics Wink

I also love to take photos whenever I see something nice out there or at family parties. It's always nice to see photos like five or six years after they were taken. Reminds you of a lot of things!
Sipe
Soltaire: You are right. Photos can give memories.

Smile I like it. That light is smooth, and the dog is so cute Wink Bad thing in the photo is that the left side of dogs face is dark.. The light can't reach there.

I love my digital camera.
Every time I see something interesting around the house I take a dozen pics and select the best one and use it as my pc desktop wallpaper.
Spring I'll use like a baby rabbit or bird.
Summer might be my yellow lab resting in some green shade outside.
Fall is usually a gloriously colored tree.
Halloween might be an eerie orange sunset through some weird trees.
Winter can be strange snow formations.
Special events like a family party, or the thermomiter reading -10' .

It's just so easy with a digital camera.
I get lots of comments every time I change my wallpaper.
My pics really only mean something to people that live around me.
And they are my target viewer.
I try to touch them with an image that is relavent to their ongoing life

So, I've become something of a descent photographer over the last couple of years and when I saw this thread I decided I just had to show off as well as comment on some other people's pictures.

@Sipe 3 5 and 9 are great. I especially love the huge aperture on number nine and the really sharp focus on its nose (is it a she dog or a he dog?)

@miacps That's great texture in the clouds on the sunset one.

So, here are five that I'd like to share with you along with the links to my Flickr page.

If you'd like to learn something and think I can help you out, feel free to give me a shout because I get way more out of sharing than I do out of taking.

P.S. These were all taken with the excellent Nikon D40x. Any camera with a programmed auto mode could make just as good pictures.

Wow, all of those look surreal, just fantastic! I especially like 2, 4 & 5! Amazing! In fact #4 has just become my new desktop wallpaper. Cool

Excellent work, thanks for sharing! Very Happy

You ought to consider making a web page with info on the techniques you use to take such wonderful photos.
driftingfe3s
Hey kuyman great shots. I need to try my hand at HDR agian. I didn't like the results of my first attempt, maybe I'll give it another go.
Sipe
Kuyman: Thanks! The dog at the 9. photo is girl, so she is a she dog Very Happy Your photos are too excellent! Really good! Exspecially the first and the last one. Dont you have a website for those pics? I want to see them more! Cool
kuyman
Again, thanks for all the really nice comments, they really mean a lot to me. My work is a cataloged on my flickr at http://flickr.com/photos/kuyman and you can find most everything I've made that I felt like sharing there. While Flickr is a great catalogue, I'm currently working on a portfolio type site of sorts as well as one that describes vaguely what I did to each picture so I can help others make really cool picture too. I'm always trying some new kind of experiment too, so I post pretty frequently to share what I've done with the world.

Thanks!
Stormgirl
There are some really talented photographers here. It is nice of you to share these pictures.

I am not a photographer but I do have some favorites - because of the subject, not the picture quality. yep, pets and babies . . .

Sipe
Stormgirl: Those are really cute pics! Good job.

Kuyman: Thanks that link. I've used Flickr too. You have really nice shots in there! Like that cat picture. I love that sharpness! Really good pictures, thanks for sharing. And that portfolio-idea is marvellous! Very Happy

Hi!

Nothing fancy here, just use a cheap digital camera and take loads of pics of wich 99 percent are on our animals. Very Happy
Found this thread and felt that I'd like to share a couple of them even if they're nothing like some of the masterpieces
I've seen here. Anyhow, I choosed two I like a lot, and looking at them made me realize that it propablly is the
ligth I enjoy as it hits the camera with the object inbetween. Smile
