vista booting problem

i installed vista on my pc with windows xp still installed.after i installed vista,i reinstalled xp cos i need space from the partition tht xp is in.now vista doesn't boot maybe bcos xp's boot manager doesn;t support vista.so how do i fix it without reinstalling vista bcos i put in a lot of time installing all software i need and i don't want to go over it again.

repair u r vista with u r vista os cd. and try to add xp boot in to vistas boot manager..

You should reinstall the vista boot manager, it should be possible using your vista installation dvd. It should also be possible to modify the xp bootloader, maybe this link will explain some things: http://www.ghacks.net/2006/12/15/how-to-repair-the-vista-bootloader/
