Hi,
I recently had a problem dual booting Vista and XP on my Aspire 5570z lappy. I realize that you are supposed to install XP after Vista 'cause the legacy BL can detect Vista, but not the other way around. Anyway, I installed them in the correct order but I couldn't get the bootloader to recognise both Vista and Xp. So, after researching it on Google, I discovered that many people with this model have the same problem. If you are one of those people, or if you are having trouble dual-booting Xp and Vista on the 5570z or any machine I can help... I finally fixed the problem by downloading a program called VistaBootPro. It's free and it runs on XP and Vista. So, if you installed Xp first, this is a lifesaver. Anyhow, with this program you can repair the master boot record for any drive, with selections for Legacy and Vista/Longhorn. So, choose legacy on your root drive, Xp will then detect Vista's boot record.
I hope this info helps someone!
Peace
