Can hamsters be trained?

I had a hamster once, and I tried him to learn something.. Every thing that he learned is to go to his house to sleep Smile

(I let him to walk around my room over night..)

I am thinking of baying another one.. And I am just curious..

My eldest daughter had a couple, but found they're not very entertaining pets.

I don't see how this could work, but I suppose it could all depend on their memory span. I've heard they can be toilet trained, but have no information on that. The other thing is that if you did try to train them you'd have to adpot their sleeping pattern and start sleeping during the day as their nocturnal!
