Internet and Homework
Hey, did anybody notice that ever since the internet became popular, we got so much more homework? Sure the Internet helps us with our homework. But what do the teachers think? The Internet is some kind of super machine thing that will finish our essays for us? Love the Internet for its superness, hate it for it's homework problem.
Oh yea, I forgot to mention. SUMMER VACATION IS ALMOST OVER!!!!!
i think you are right they make us use it so they can give us much more homework
I think partly you are right, but some i dont think so.
I think so
long ago
we don't need do so much work at home
but now

yeah alot of the time.
Personally, I think it has more to do with the importance education is getting. More and more children are now trying to be really good at their studies, and in the process, the schools are starting to get more competitive... what matters now more than anything else is the results... so now, schools are pushing kids to get results, by setting more homework or other things....
no problem for me I have allmost no homework
and if I have then I probably finish it at school, or write it from someone else sssht don't tell anyone
Yea, I have quite a bit of homework, but I don't find it really hard. I usually finish it before class is over. What I really hate is week-long or even month-long projects, like summatives, however longer projects do give me a chance to express my creativity:D. All in all though, spare periods help me a great deal with homework. Even with all that said, it doesn't mean that I like it, personally, I hate homework.
I don't think that the usual amount of homework is because of the internet. The professors are evil from when they were born

I Think its a mixture of quite a bit of things... Education is so much more important these days well... actually it depends on your career cause you can make so much money without an education... but if u rely on education then you really have to dig in...
I believe just the computer itself makes us have more homework cause... now we can look things up with more ease.. and I can type faster than I can write... so I save lots of time...

My Teachers think, we are a robot or i don't now what...
We get to much homework... One teacher give some 6 exercize... but another do the same... and we get 32 exercize to home... thats horrible...
So we can sarch some information by internet but without exaggeration...

Are you sure about this? To me, the younger generations are becoming more ignorant and arrogant. Accepting there little fads as there true language, and not letting go of trends.
To me, most are ignorant, and toss away there education...I have yet to meet anyone below my generation that strives for more knowledge like we once did. I would love to meet one though, I have allot to discuss.
I do agree that schools are getting more competitive though, I have noticed that. But the children arn't taking it to well, and honestly, I don't see the positive results.
But, honestly, I don't think the children are "now trying to be really good at their studies". I hear the lower generations are trying to ban the word "Book" ( Sarcasm )
I was talking about it in general... of course, a lot of children no longer care about what happens when water is suddenly added to a large volume of H2SO4 as long as they know where their next Playstation CD is coming from.
But the ones who do care about education are suddenly finding themselves in a lot more competitive world.
Kids, and on a larger scale, teenagers tend to care more about their image than anythign else. If being rude to a teacher is cool, that's what they're going to do. I also think arrogance is part of a similar attitude ("I KNOW I'm right, and that's cool. You can kiss my ass" sort of thing)... this also I suppose leads to ignorance...
However, the part where I posted about more kids paying more attention to studies is especially significant in India. It's stunning how the value of education has shot up over the last few years, especially in urban areas.

This is true, the part about studies in India. Even to the point where I have found myself jelous at times that I didn't get an education like this. My education was horrible, everything I learned, I pretty much learned on my own.
Although...then again I could THANK the School System for that, if they had been better, I wouldn't know as much as I do now. I would be a book worm for Society, so...darn you double bladed sword, darn you.
The teacher is like, "I'm going to give you more homework because you can use the internet to find it." OMG she doesn't know how hard it is with google's performance drop and everything.

That just like me... T_T
Internet has also changed the kind of homework. Internet has changed a lot of things, also on schools.
Well some of them but most of them aren't. If it was related to internet then everyopne would be doing it!
