I am planning to setup a new home theater system and I would like to hear what you have at home, if not are you planning on one?
The $$$ and components breakup:
Receiver : around $400, preferably a 7.1. One of my friends suggested the Yamaha RX-V659. I feel this piece is too expensive but it is the center of the system.
Speakers: around $500 for a 3.0 (left, right and center pieces). Later get the back-left, back-right and the base speakers.
MCE setup with DVD/CD, FM, cable etc: $800. Can defer this as well as I have a CD/DVD player.
Remote: around $100
TV: already have a 32" LCD, maybe upgrade later (a 50")
iPod doc: later, will cost around $50
Grand total around $1800, it surely will do the economy some good
