If you could only pick ONE from Internet or Sex. which would it be? (i.e. by picking the ONE, you can no longer have the other, EVER)
Sex has been around a while longer then the net, and I'm convinced that it will be around after the net is down aswell...

In todays day and age, the internet is a massive part of everyones economy and communcition, if the net where to go away... markets would crash, ecconmimes would fall, all around the world great communitys would start to fall... it would be horrible.
And without sex, there would be no more babies..the world would die out in a max of 120 years. (well unless you count test tube babies.)

well considering I am not old enough for sex, I chose the net in the poll... but yeah, I suppose sex will be around a lot longer then the net, when I am old so yeah...

Sex of course. It's hard these days (pardon the pun) to imagine life without the net, but to go though life without sex, would be a nightmare. On saying that I'm sure there's some people out there that are extremely grateful for the net to fullfill their sexual needs.
OMG this is an incredibly dumb question. Who here would SERIOUSLY forgo sex for ever more just for the internet. The net is great but seriously, you'd have to be a lonely person to say internet.

How could you not vote for sex? Of course the internet's great, but we managed to live without it for long enough and considering the reliability of my ISP lately I've got used to it not being there when I need it. But sex, that's always there - it's got to be there.
Oh, and I totally agree with scotty and Bilkers. And m-productions, I think we could have sex to reproduce, but no further - or this question would be 'Internet or wipe out the human race?' - you'd just have to make the most of it once or twice in your life.

What a no-brainer. Sex is a huge part of life itself - the net is just a very useful accessory. Who would seriously choose the internet over sex for eternity? That said, I might choose the net for a year.

If I had to choose one among the two I would chose sex because I have never had any and I've been surfing internet for years now. I have had enough of the internet already and now I need to try the latter one.

If we all gave up on the internet (as it is known today), soon some other guy would come up with an idea for something to fulfill our time and it would probably be an improvement. It would be a MAJOR setback and would literally put me out of a job, BUT soon enough other stuff would be here to fill the gap.
If, on the other hand, we gave up on sex, we would have A LOT of fertilization clinics popping up over the internet . The human race wouldn't disappear on account of this, but i assure you the suicide ratings would shoot through the roofs.
Sex is a in your DNA, and humans are genetically compelled to practice sex (as are animals) to propagate the species. I'm not sure we could just deny that impulse (even priests have a hard time denying it).
Since I can't imagine myself not making love with my wife, I guess I would have to change profession if I ever came up with this dilemma.
By the way, if you guys are tired of having sex with the same person, have you ever considered you are staying with the wrong person? I would put myself that question if I felt that....

I'd imagine the concept is that in the absence of the internet sex is supposed to fill said free time.
I like books and I like painting and if the net goes, then the market traditional art goes up, so I could simply go with a different job...
Besides, I'd imagine procreation is rather important for the species.
Sex of course...I can always revert to the old way of standing in line to pay bills and meeting customers face to face....however, there is no alternative to sex!!!!

What a strange choice, the net or sex. Very simple choice for me SEX. First of all I am afraid the net won't be able to create human life, or any life for that matter. Secondly sex is healthier and much more fun

I have to say sex. Since I love babies and I want to have at least one more child. Also, it's a wee bit more fun than those internet games. ^_-

I use it a lot in my school work and probably will in my job, etc. Sex is great and all..but eventually I'll reach an age when I'm tired of sex and have little to no sexual drive.....where as that'll never happen with the internet.

Remember, having sex isn't always something you do to have a baby - it's for fun (pleasure) as well!
Anyway, I think people who have taken the question like this should look at it on a more basic level; say hypothetically that you could only do one of these, which would you prefer to do?
The original question asked which you personally would choose, this doesn't imply that everyone else wouldn't be able to do the option you didn't choose. So then the question boils down to whether you want to have kids or not, or how you feel towards continuing the human race or overpopulation.
I think really it's a case of which activity you, personally, could go without for the rest of your life (not being literal (as of course you could go without both if you really tried), but taking emotion and feeling into account).
I want sex, but only sex-love, sex along is not a good idea for me.
But what about if the net is your only source of sex?

It's interesting to hear that so many people would prefer the internet. The internet and it's utilization is fairly new, and before that I wonder if there's something else that would be preferred over sex by everyone who prefers the internet over sex. Personally, I feel much more of a spiritual connection with others as well as with myself when I'm having sex than when I'm surfing the internet.

Why is that unfair? If there was a both option that's obviously what someone everyone would say, unless there are people who have reservations about either. Firstly, to be on FriHost we're on the internet so I'm pretty sure no body would vote only sex.
It would change this thread's contents entirely.
There are times in life when we have to choose between one thing or another. Sometimes that might involve a choice between a bad decision and a worse one, this is probably one of those for most people.

No, actually sex is the intercourse; the physical action of having sex. The stimulation the brain gets is not sex itself, but merely a result of the physical stimulation whether that is through sexual intercourse or masturbation.

"Get a life" is not what these people have to do. Many people want a girlfriend/boyfriend but do not have one go out more than some who do have a girlfriend/boyfriend. Many single people [who want a girlfriend/boyfriend] also have more of your so called 'life'. I would say it's often more about effort and in many cases merely about not finding the right person.

Go down to your local swingers club and I'm sure you'll find loads of people by having sex. Also, if you become a porn movie director/cameraman etc then you can watch people having sex and meet new people.
