Im currently doing a homebrew MMORPG.
I cant pixel art very well so do anyone no a good tutorial for pixel art?
SO far i done this in MS Paint
Is it good or is it kinda nubish?
They look pretty decent
.
I wouldn't say there's something wrong with them, but if you added some more details to them they'd be great.
I like the blue and the white one most, because they're most detailed (bubbles, glass reflection).
wow thanks!
I put alot of time in those with MS Paint. I would of used Photoshop but i lost my CD and cdkey since i just got my new computer(XP Pro dun like Vista).
They look okay. What are they supposed to be in your game?
They're good. Try adding an animation with the bubbles or something
maybe change the color of the green, cuz you cant see the bubbles. and maybe make the bubbles for the white one gray or black.
the brown is kinda lame, however, because it implies wood or some medeivel potion or something. if it is supposed to be a current or future time period, i would think more of a shiny silver or black.....
They are great for a beginner so once you get a tutorial you'll be going great for someone who has done a tutorial

They look fine for me. Probably you can play more with subtler / pastel colour
They look okay. I also think that they might look better with less saturation.
How is the MMORPG going?
You should try to find a program othe than the everlastingly-sucking MS Paint.
It's better than anything I could do in MS Paint!
To get more techniques on pixel art, I suggest going to www.deviantart.com and search up tutorials on that. I've seen some AMAZING pixel art on there. And there are some very nicely done tutorials.
Looks great, much better from what I first made when I started with pixel art
how I found pixel tutorials was just searching for it. Good luck with the creations
You just need to add a tentacle or an alien baby inside the tubes, then you're golden =)
In all seriousness, its a fine attempt. Keep doing what you've been doing and you'll be like a pro... just remember in the real industry, you'll be expected to make pixel art almost non-stop and in impossible numbers. If it takes you a couple hours to do that, then ya better learn to do them more quickly. However, you're in luck, that's where practice comes in. =)
As a tip: Add a gradient to both the top and bottom rims of your tubes. I noticed that you had a two-tone shading on the top, but no where else, so keep the shading consistent =)
pixel art? sounds very interesting. But what is it by the way? Wikipedia says editing the image on pixel level. Y to do that when u have software like GIMP ???
I would do this kind of thing with MS paint, it's a lot easier considering it'll be a lot less CPU intensive for something that is really designed to be simple.

Amen to that.
But seriously, that is like my philosophy:
"MS paint sucks"
Yeah any kind of graphics requires time. I think it depends on your expetations as to what program you use. For quick and easy I like to use mspaint and actually the old win95 version. I know that sounds silly but I just like its simplicity and got used to using it for simple stuff. If I want to be more expressive I use psp (paint shop pro) because it can do so much more.
Gimp (free) is another solution for morphs.
I think your art looks fine, nothing wrong with it. Hope you have fun.
