My Series 3 Land Rover rebuild.
Started as an interior tidy up and sort of got carried away.
Chassis rust repairs.
Painting the chassis. Bloody hard work cleaning it back to bare metal.
Body work. Took way longer than expected. These damm alloy bodies may be great resisting rust but they are a damn pain to panel beat.
Moved house just before it was ready to paint. Had to put the roof on to take it to the new house. Moved all my furniture, fridge etc before putting the roof on though. No lights, no seat belts, not much of anything actually.
The painting begins. Getting dark so have to finish tomorrow. Still 28 degrees C though at 7pm.
Finish painting.
Panels back on.
Nice replica flairs. They're sheet metal but at $10 for a set beats $400 for a genuine set in Jakarta.
My attempt to maximize cooling area on the radiator. It's always between 26 and 33 degrees C here so cooling is important.
