What about AFC teams? The Colts will always have a shot. If not them, then maybe the Jets. You can never count out the Patriots.
As for other NFC teams, I'll have to go with the 49ers.
Kidding.

What happened to my team.....once so good...once so proud
What about Pittsburgh??? Remember....they were 15-1 last year.
I do believe you might be right about one of your teams - Eagles. The team is still intact which gives them good shot at a repeat.
I dont think the Falcons will this year but it will be fun to watch how far Vic has and will progressed during the year.
Besides those two teams - the NFC is a very weak league.
The AFC is a diffenert story though.
Colts - a very good team that I would love to see make it (need a better defense)
Jets - another strong team
New England - I dont believe will make (off season trade hurt to much)
And you cant forget about San Diego....
So, bottom line - Eagles and the Colts.
Eagles win!

AFC: colts, patriots
NFC: (haven't paid too much attention lately)... eagles, panthers

AFC- I can see the Patriots going in for the fourpeat. Maybe the Colts if they can stop their choking habit.
NFC- I can't see the Eagles making it to the SB again. There's just too much turmoil in Philly these days that goes way beyond the whole terrell Owens nightmare. they've lost too many players either to free agency and injury and we're only moving into the second week.
I think the game vs. Atlanta Monday night was a sign of things to come for them this season.
I'd love to be a complete homer and say my NY Giants, but, unless Manning gets his head together, it ain't happening. LOL
The NFC is such a mishmash, i couldn't even think of predicting a team right now.

AFC
East:
As long as New England stays healthy, the road to the Superbowl goes through the Pats. This is despite their performance yesterday. Best coached team.
North:
Pitt have been perennial favorites in this divison only because, in my opinion, no other team were much competition (yes even Baltimore... defense wins you games, but you still have to have points on the board...). If the first two weeks are any indication, Cincinnati is showing some real class on the field. Palmer may be finally maturing.
South:
inDianaplis have finally shown that D belongs in their name. What is likely shocking most of their fans is the utter lack of O. What's going on Peyton? Still, assuming the Colts get their act together, the South is theirs to lose.
West:
KC looks like the team they should have been last year. Larry Johnson will be their premier RB, though Holmes still has some mileage left. This team continues to have a balanced attack and they will top this division.
New England, Pittsburgh, or Indianapolis all look good to take the AFC. If the Colts actually make it past New England, then they will be the team to beat. If Pittsburgh makes it to the Superbowl then it's my prediction they will go home empty handed with Cowher crying in the back. New England... there's a lot of precedence to break for a fourpeat. they don't have an analogous Michael Jordan on their team.
NFC
East:
This division is the Eagles to lose. They just need to quit their backstage antics and remain consistent on a weekly basis have this in the bag. NFC east is like the AFC north: one brilliant team, the rest are a bunch of scrubs.
North:
When Moss was traded to Oakland, nearly all Minnesota fans that I know breathed a sigh of relief and said good riddance. Boy what a difference a few months can make... Daunte Daunte Daunte. It should be exceedingly clear that the "lob it in the air and Moss is sure to catch it" strategy ain't gonna work without the aforementioned Moss. Old habits die hard, Daunte. Kill this one quick. This division is up for grabs. Chicago looks good, though.
South:
Atlanta went from HOTlanta to MYlanta in one week. Still, this is a team to be reckoned with. This division is a toss up between the Falcons and the Bucs. Only time will tell who has the endurance.
West:
Who cares??? The 49ers are the Chicago Bulls of the NFL... I like Seattle in this division only because of coaching. The Rams need a few more years to get rid of their geriatrics and mature their young'uns to be competitive late in the season. Holt will not carry a team without a better QB. And Faulk can qualify for early bird specials in Denny's in a year or two.
I'm looking forward to seeing a rematch between Atlanta and Philly. Whoever wins is conference champ... but either one has their hands full with the AFC.
AFC will likely be hoisting the Vince Lombardi trophy again.
Let the reactionary posts ensue...

Anymore, I can see no way the eagles will even make it to playoffs! I'm an Eagles fanatic, but nothing Westbrook and Dawkins and my other favorites
can do will bring them back, without a miracle. They have to beat the Seahawks next game to even have a chance, and they struggled to beat a crippled Green Bay last game. I thought before the season started, and even the first two games that the Eagles had a chance this year, but its what always happens... they build something up and riiiiight before they get there it all crashes down and they start over.
Who knows though, a miracle might come and I'll happily eat my words if they do have a snowball's chance of gettting into the playoffs.
