I try to make some 3D models (cars like Audi A
its very cool because it looks very real. someone use Cinema 4D too? maybe we can learn something. 3D modelling is not very easy but its cool
Cinema 4D
I like that. How is it? What about that program??
I use Cinema 4D! If you want to see some of my works you can find them here:
http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Index.cfm?FuseAction=ProcessSmartSearch&istIncAuthor=Whong%20&blAuthorExact=y&intMediaType=-1&stgBoolean=l&blExternal=TRUE
Cinema 4D is really cool! It's fairly simple to learn too though it takes a LOT of time!
Nice to hear that someone else is also using Cinema 4D. Good luck!

Never heard of that. What is it's primary use?
Cartoons, flash, or what?

it's a 3D program created for mainly film, it's getting popular but it's takes a lot of resources so yea. its gonna take lots of time to learn, but it has really cool paint features that max doesnt have, i like max because it's really easy to install textures and rendering...maya is cool too it's alot more artist friendly but th erender an dother tools are hard to use.

I tried Max once but felt it was very hard to learn. I've heard that Max is very powerful and very much used. Still, I think I'll stay with Cinema 4D.
I will definitely have to locate this program! Thanks!

It's a great program, you won't be disapointed! Hopefully...
I like Cinema 4D more than alot of other 3D modelers because it's pretty simple to use, however i dont really know how to use my animations i make in a video, maybe someone can help me with that? I'm pretty amature at it, but I've done some cool animations
I'd love to learn some decent £D software but these days i dont have the time. - Back when i as freelance i had a lot more freetime on my hands but now i am fulltims so i dont get much time - its the disadvantage of being fulltime but anyway i'd love to learn 3d - maybe my boss will let me have some time....

Well you can first start practising with just primitive objects such as cubes or spheres and animate them to do something, eg. go in circles or something. Once you've learn and practised you can maybe make a video like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAkODRKt5FQ
or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZMktTsIVHc
It takes a long time and hard work to learn animation and modeling, but don't give up!
Cheers hope you'll learn something useful. Here are some tutorials I found, hope they are helpful to you.

well i know how to do basic things like lettering, fire, making basic objects, i just dont know how to put them into a video that i have made, i use sony vegas and im not sure how i can incorperate vegas with C4D other than chroma key which doesnt always work right.

Hmm... ok. Have you tried searching for some tutorials? Usually when I want to add some 3d to the video clip I place the video file as background in C4D and then animate everything accoridingly, get the lights/shadows right and then render it with C4D. That's atleast one way of getting good results.
Here's a tutorial for adding shadows to an image that is as a background object.

Hope that helps.
3D software is SOOO expensive, though... The only one I've ever tried is Blender and it's pretty hard to work with.

Blender is a very powerful 3D tool, but it's really hard to learn to use it well... Cinema 4D is one of the easiest I think.

From what I saw I was not too impressed with the quality of models that I saw. There was very little photorealism. It's ok since it's free, but Blender has much more power. Cinema is expensive, YES, but it is in my opinion just MAGNIFICENT!!!
I Have also try blender, but its hard.
Now i use 3DSMAX, but i wanna change to another 3d prog. reason is 3dsmax license is to expensive for
using in freelance. I don't wanna pay anithing more to autodesk. Thinkin of switching to cinema4d. I hear its fast to learn. Hope en see
what du u think about that.
