Hello Everyone.

I know a fair bit about the fundamentals of client-server but have not got any hands on experience.
I read blogs such as ZDnet, Microsoft Watch, Engadget and others like that.

I usually end up in the general discussion boards on forums like these. Usually arguing about politics. Which of course, is a big no-no, as generally discussions about politics can become heated. Therefore I hope that anyone who does have a discussion with me about politics doesn't take it to heart. After all, we might agree on other things, so I you may find me suggesting we agree to disagree as a way of saying you won't change my opinion and I respect yours.

Other than that, I wouldn't mind getting to grips with some Web Site scripting. The last programming I ever did was on the Amstrad CPC 464 in Locomotion Basic. Mock all you want, but that machine was very good for programming. You could configure procedure calls. Almost like OO programming.

Anyway, I think I have ranted enough. Oh, I have two kids, both boys, both under the age of 5. I live in Manchester, UK. Thanks

What do you mean client server? Oh, and I never get into the political business, I think it's a bunch of crap anyway.(my opinion, respect it) If you want to get into web site scripting start with html. If you already know it, or think it's to easy. Jump into php.

The server is the host and the client is the one using the server for something. Eg. playing games. Then there's a server program to host and another program to join, usually called server and client.
