Jena6: It's a world topic b/c racism is alive and well.

THIS IS A TRUE STORY. ALL OF THE INFORMATION HAS BEEN PROVIDED TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE AND IS AS CLOSE TO THE FACTS AS POSSIBLE.

Here's the conflict:

In Jena, Louisiana at Jena High school there was an issue of racism. There was a specific tree that normally the white students would sit under but one day a group of black students decided to sit under the tree. The next day there were three nooses hanging from the tree. When the black students found out who hung the nooses they retaliated resulting in a fight. One of the white students was beat up by one of the black students and had to go to the hospital for stitches and didn't stay the night. The black student was arrested along with 5 other black students for starting the fight and the white students were suspended and charged with pranks. One of the black students was tried as an adult even thought he was a minor at the time of the incident and sentenced for 22yrs because he had a prior record. The other 5 black students were released on bound because they had no priors but the other black student's bond was so high he couldn't afford to get out. The white students weren't charged with a hate crime but suspended from school and then allowed to return.

What are your views on the issue.

It was wrong for the white students to do what they did, but the black students' reaction was also wrong. You can't resolve hatred/racism/etc. with violence.

if violence is in the form of resistence, its acceptable.

Secondly, its the USA: home of the KKK, Bill Gates, Pro-Zionists, and homosexuals.

The white students should have been charged with making death threats, because that's what they did. That wasn't a prank, that was a threat of lynching. They should have been expelled.
That doesn't make what the black kids did right, but the white kids got off way too easy. It's been forty years since the civil rights movement, but the Deep South still has a lot of racial tension, and memories are long down there. I doesn't take much to stir up old angers and resentments. The authorities should have done much more than just slap the white kids on the wrist and call it a prank.

America never provided freedom or true democracy for all.

It permitted the KKK, and did little to prevent its spread and its violent ways. Robert Byrd is a senior Senator in US and David Dukes (former grandwizard of KKK) is a former republican.

Bill Gates. America permits the Microsoft monopoly in the States. But Gates unfortuanetly is unable to follow his evil ways when coming to the EU.

Pro-Zionsist: Anyone with any knowledge of politics will understand that what Israel is doing on the Palestinians is the same or worse than what the Nazis did to them. The media is biased in favour of Israel, and had it not been for pro-zionists in the senate America would certainly not aid the terrorist regime of Israel of $4-6 billion a year, which is more aid that the world gives to the whole of Africa.

Homosexuality: I may have got carried away on this point. You can erase this remark. The main problem with homosexuality is with offsprings, and had the world become gay there would be no next generation. Thats the biggest reason why I am against it. But having said that, it plays no more great scope in this discussion.

I haven't really followed the story, but did they know which white student(s) hung the nooses in the tree? I didn't think authorities did.

As for your comments about the South, have you spent a lot of time there?

Respectfully,
