Anyone else here into oldstyle text adventures? They're a great brainstretcher if you're used to being able to see everything... My current favorite, Spider and Web, is a very complex spy story, with lots of gadgets, unclear goals, and an interogation.

I still enjoy old text adventures, but I tend to suck badly at them, so it's a bit of a downer to get stuck all the time. Also, I hate drawing maps and doing mazes (which is effectively required in games like the Zorks). The puzzle solving is fun though.
Being good at them is hardly a requirement though. (I'm not even good at graphical adventures) And most modern IF authors (sounds like an oxy-moron) take into account that most people hate drawing maps...
