java problem

deepod
Well when about to watch certain videos in my browser (firefox AND IE), I receive a message instead, telling me that either JavaScript is turned off, or I don't have the latest flash player. So I downloaded the flash player they told me to download, installed it, but it still doesn't work, therefore I assume JavaScript is turned off. Can anyone at all help me in turning it back on, give me some instructions on what to do, because I really do not have much of a clue myself!

thanks in advance

In Firefox:

Goto menu Extra -> Options, select the tab 'Content' and check the box 'Enable Javascript'.

I'd just like to point out that Javascript is not Java. Java is a full fledged programming language by Su Microsystems while Javascript was originally a scripting language made by Netscape.
They named Javascript that because they thought it'd help increase the popularity of the language and now we have this huge problem. =/
