apache php and mysql on mac OS X

Hello,
I am not familliar with mac OS X world. I have to develop on Joomla and Spip on this kind of OS. What kind of package do i have to install ? Have you an advice to make me save my time ?

Well, you can run Apache and PHP on Mac OSX [check those links] since Apache is already built in the OS--unless you want to download the latest one.

Though there is a package called MAMP which you may want to check out. It would not interact with your computer's library. I haven't tried it yet, though, so I don't have anything to say about it.

Visit the entropy.ch website for loads of info on running php and mysql on mac os x. Their installer makes it super easy! Smile

It includes almost everything you'd ever need. Apache comes installed on the Mac, so you're set there.

There are several methods of activation or installation of
Apache, PHP, and mySql under Mac OS X, according to your needs
and your competences in system management ,
the easiest method for you , is MAMP ( MAC OS , APACHE , MySQL , PHP ) , a package like EasyPHP for windows ..
