Hey i was wondering if there is away of putting a program onto a flash drive and having it open once pluged in because my girlfriend gave me a great idea for a program to make her so when she plugs in her usb flash drive it will open the program iv made for her but first of all i need to know if you can put a autoplay file onto a flash drive and will it work or is there any other ways?

Let us know if it works... interesting question, although vista is trying to run everything on my flash drive any time I put it in the drive, and winBlows media player is trying to claim it is all it's space. And ramdisk claims it is all it's space too..

Yes you can, a quick google for "autorun.inf" will give you a tonne of links.
I'm not sure if the auto-run program execution itself (would it just run at startup?) works, but you can even use autorun.inf to do stuff like set custom icons for your non-removable hard disks.

I know that it must be possible, as I've installed Portableapps on a pen drive and it autoruns when I plug in the drive. Well, it pops up in the list of things to do with the drive. If you pick it as default, it would run every time.
