Have you tried Firebug and YSlow performance monitoring?

DoctorBeaver
YSlow is an add-on for Firebug that gives you a performance rating for the loading of web pages. There are 13 points it looks at and gives you pointers as to how to improve your website load speed.

Firebug itself is a Firefox add-on and is needed to run YSlow. I've just started using them and I find them very useful. Try them. They can both be downloaded from http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/

Yep, I've got Firebug and Yslow installed on Firefox on my mac. I sometimes use it to test the performance of my website(s).

I have had firebug for sometime. I really like it as it can help me dissect websites and discover how they were made.

Firebug is great tool for web developers. I use it to test my sites and to trace some information from other sites.
