Heh, I love this. It's been around for years but it still amuses me.
Note that not everyone can do it though... just most people. What's a little interesting about that is that we don't "read" in the same way: even if the outcome is the same, our brains are doing something different to get the same effect.
What Happened to the castel...
See what happens to the image if its turned upside down...
Actually its the reflection of the castel in water...

Interesting text and interesting affirmation
You need to do some exercise to see this...
Just turn ur head upside down or just make your monitor upside down....
How was that?
Wow!! that is so freakin cool, I started reading it and I didn't realize immediately that all the letters were mixed up. Totally wigged me out for a second, haha. Great job! haha.
Haha, I know someone who did a whole science fair project on this. It's pretty cool. :3

I know somebody who did a science project on it, and got second place in a national competition. Maybe it's the same person.
That thing with the letters was indeed very interesting.. At first I just thought that it was gibberish but when I started to read.. Amazing

Yeah I have seen that multiple times, but i still find it awesome. I used to think I was able to read that because I spent a lot of time playing WoW (where people will occasionally mess up the spelling of words).
Now that I know the real reason, it seems pretty obvious. You notice, after a certain age, people stop spelling out words and just start reading them until they hit a word they don't know which they have to spell out again.
I actually thought the castle was a CGI with H20 shaders
The face was freaky yet cool

It reminds me of band from Mexico, I think, called Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis
This thing of the mixed letters words was already posted in another subject of this forum. In that forum that I dont have time to search for, there was the discussion about the same fenomenon happening in another lenguages. In spanish it is true and happens also. Japanesse im not sure.

Really ... what happened to it?
That's amazing illusion with the face. The emotion which goes trough your head can be completely changed by just turning the image upside-down. Really amazing!!!

that's really funny i have to say.
LOVE is an illusion,
a mirage that you can see in your minds eye,
but can never quite reach.
you have to watch the show "The Human Body: Pushing the limits" on Discovery. It is on Sunday for at 9-11 p.m. for the next few weeks. It explains all these things and how the mind tricks you.
Heh, check the spelling!
I have read this a couple times before aswell, and could read it wthout any problems at all. It's actually quite cool.
The face thing was pretty weird.
I love that. Power of the human brain and everything. That face one is also crazy!
You gotta love these studies done at these university I saw this one on face book a while back. Wonder what will come out of these university's next?

I know someone, too... Might be the same person. The project was called discombobulated.
Neat illusions all, thanks for sharing.

Here is another famous illusion:
Which straight line is the longest one?! a or b?
What do you think about this one?
The red lines are straight... right?!
That should win the IgNobel prize. Pointless yet entertaining.
That thing of the unordered letters had been posted more than one time before in frihost.
