Too fast when idle

nisibdv
When idle, I noted that the motor of my car is too much accelerated, too many revolutions when idle. It has sparkplugs and a two mouth carburator. What should I do to slow down revolutions when idle?
Thank you.

It is probably running very lean at idle which can cause a high idle.
Run some carb cleaner through it to try and clear the restriction.

You can also find the end of the throttle linkage on the carb.
There should be an idle stop adjustment screw.
If you adjust that, do it in very small increments.

jwellsy: I will try with your second recommendation, after I find that screw. Thank you very much.
