table width command

Coclus
Hello everybody,
I uploaded a new website to www.fait.frih.net,
but the problem is that it does not look right with internet explorer and some other browsers , as, obviously, they ignore the command style=width:1000px right here:

<table "style=width:1000px;" height="100%" align="left" width="61%">

Consequently, I put in the command width="61%" to have at least some control on how it is displayed by the Internet Explorer.
Any help?

I think it's because the quotation marks (") aren't in the right place. It should be style="blabla", not "style=blabla".

Emmer-Compascuum = correct

it's also a good idea to use id's and classes, keeping the actual styles in a seperate stylesheet

We all make coding errors from time to time, so it's good someone could help you out on this one. Never be afraid to ask even if you feel dumb because you made a misstake you usualy not do.
