Medical tourisn A big Fad ???/
I have seen that a lot of people are now taking fancy towards medical tourist
which actually means the they go to some other country to get medical treatment
I see that this is very popular in the USA and I think it is more because the medical costs are very prohibiting in the USA and what i don't understand is that is it so prohibitive that it is costlier than the air fare and other travel costs put together
I would like to know if someone has actually undertaken any medical tourism and if so what is their experiences

Well, for reasons of widely available insurance and medicare, corruption, and people's ability to pay exorbitant costs, the price of good medical care in the US is huge. For many types of procedures, going to a lovely Caribbean island to get your procedure done is cheaper, even taking travel costs into consideration.
If the medical system in the US wasn't so corrupt and politicized, it wouldn't be so.
