The philosofy of religion

yagnyavalkya
Why was religion founded and why are there so many religions inthe world
which is the best religion
why are most religions based on miracles
actually these questions are the ones which come to my mind when I talk about religion
When you see Wiki ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion)
it says
"A religion is a set of common beliefs and practices generally held by a group of people, often codified as prayer, ritual, and religious law. Religion also encompasses ancestral or cultural traditions, writings, history, and mythology, as well as personal faith and mystic experience. The term "religion" refers to both the personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from shared conviction"
Accordingly there should be prayers, ritual and law in a beleif for it to qualify as a religion
But I have heard of the new religion called Jedi
There is no prayer or ritual in this relion I think
But is Jedi really a religion or is it just a joke
Religion has been definitive in a extensive assortment of conduct. For the most part descriptions challenge to find a equilibrium everywhere flanked by overly sharp classification and worthless generality.
Freedom to practice a religion is paramount ot the success of it inthe human context
Now take a look at the definition of Philosofy by Wiki
"Philosophy is the discipline concerned with questions of how one should live (ethics); what sorts of things exist and what are their essential natures (metaphysics); what counts as genuine knowledge (epistemology); and what are the correct principles of reasoning (logic).[1] [2] The word itself is of Greek origin: φιλοσοφία (philosophía), a compound of φίλος (phílos: friend, or lover) and σοφία (sophía: wisdom)." ( ref http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophy )
Where do these two ie Religion and philosofy meet
Religion and philosophy commence with folklore; or in a supplementary fashionable
and conformist formulation, they set in motion with the tales that materialize from
the innermost level of our entity and cooperative understanding. The clearest
suggestion that this is so is that offspring are accepted philosophers

You would get A LOT more responses if you fixed the grammar. I'm having difficulty understanding what you're talking about :animesweatdrop:
