Otherkin
The term "Otherkin" comes from the thought that you are of Other Kin. Like you were born apart from others. It is a very interesting concept.
Otherkin is the concept that reincarnation exists and not only humans but animals and mythical creatures have the ability to reside in a physical body. Many people are freaking idiots and make it like a role play going "I am a level 77 angel were wolf otherkin with pixie wings and two tails!" and it's annoying as hell... That is what we in the psychic community call "Fluff" because it's soft and fluffy and easy to fall through, unlike solid hard truth.
So, assuming you believe in reincarnation, and you believe that there are things out there that we don't know of yet. What do you think about otherkin? Have you ever felt attuned to a certain thing? Have you ever felt like your personality fit something like a wolf? Have you felt the urge to fly like a dragon? Do you LOVE angels?
There are hundreds of theories about otherkin, and what it might be. However... since christianity shuns anything like otherkin, unless it's angelic, almost all serious-christian people hate the idea of otherkin. I don't care if you're christian or not, all I want is your honest opinion on otherkin, and I want it to be YOUR opinion,not your religion's opinon.

I run a forum with 400+ people in it and it involves otherkin believers. I would truly appreciate every single opinion on otherkin that anyone coudl possibly have.

*not familure with type of thinking* Is there an explaination for how physically one reincarnates into another? Does your soul float into the egg-sack of your future mother? I am asking out of ignorance and curiousity

Golly.
That's an extremely difficult question to answer. Some people believe there are deities controlling who enters what body and what enters who's body as they're being born, some people believe there are individual spirits doing it, some mystic-christians believe that angels do it, some people believe that souls enter the fetus or baby later on when they find a suitable host, some people believe you sign a contract with the universe on what you're willing to put up with in this life, some people think the universe just does everything all on its own and it's close to unexplainable. then again... a lot of people are skeptic and believe we either don't reincarnate, or we don't have a soul at all.
I find every single one of those answers to be lacking evidence against it and plausible. However I do not find it plausible to think some twenty year old guy is the reincarnation of Johnny Cash, because Johnny hasn't been dead that long.
The otherkin theory has many variations also. A lot of people who believe themselves to be otherkin don't believe in anything other than physical reality and earth and souls. Most otherkin believe that there is a lot of mysticism in the universe and believe either there were mystic beings that existed before humans existed and because they were so "mystic" there is no evidence to prove they exist, and their souls wander the earth still wanting to live in a physical body, thus, reincarnating repeatedly. Others believe there are other planets with life that resembles our monsters and creatures in fiction. Planets run by angels, fairies, vampires, draconians, and therian/animals.
Of course there is almost no scientifical backing, there is also little scientifical backing for the skeptics either, other than lack of there being evidence that we have a soul.

Not meaning this at ALL to be insulting, because this is interesting to hear about, but there's something in that that bothers me. It isn't just you, and I even find myself thinking this way too, but I must comment and hopefully discuss this... again since I find it interesting to think about too.
The concept of time is something so unique to us as humans... if there is some other higher source up there or around us, or even just our souls on another plane dictating events such as this (or anything on any plane other than ourselves in our existence) why would time even matter? Maybe I'm not making sense... sorry if that is the case.
It's like the discussion I was having with a friend the other day about the possibility of people and all things having souls. He mentioned how his soul would be and think... it hadn't ever occurred to him that a soul would be beyond that and beyond anything that we think or feel or even perceive such as time.
It's just a little odd to me is all. Sorry to take this off topic with my little randomness, and sorry again if I caused any offense. I would love to hear your thoughts on this!
