We've already seen Germany thrash Argentina 11-0 in the biggest win ever in a Women's World Cup finals match, and then yesterday Japan scored a last-minute equaliser to hold England to a 2-2 draw in the same group (Group A).
The Group B matches were both draws - USA surprisingly didn't beat North Korea (though NK were the U-20's World Champions last year), while fellow big-boys (or should that be girls :p) Sweden had to make do with 1-1 against Nigeria.
Hosts China kick off their tournament today against Denmark. Brazil-New Zealand is the other Group D match, while Australia play Ghana and Norway meet Canada in Group C.
It's difficult to tell who's going to win the tournament at this early stage, but Germany certainly look good.
