The future of Radio: Micro trans- receiver brain implants!?

I am new to this forum and I have taken an interest in posting article on the future. especially the future of many aspects of life we cannot possible do with out
I have already posted on future of TV, Bit torrent, Food , Fuel , electricity
Now here are some thought on the future of Radio
There is one obsession with future tech is that everything becomes smaller in size and larger in application
Radio has evloved considerable since days of valve sets with "magic eye" some of you guys in the 40s or 50s (age) might have actually used one of those yesteryears sets

I have a feeling that the radio will become so small that they will be mere implants in the brain with micro antennas to pick up signals and they will be controlled by thought waves. All we have to do is to think what we want from the radio and presto we get a new station or a new song that rings in our ears
the ringing will be pleasant unlike what some of you who might imagine that it may sound like the usual bells we hear in our ears.

Hmm.... implanted radio receivers? I don't think I'd like that, but some probably wouldn't mind. How practical would be it, though? You might wake yourself up while sleeping if it can't be turned off... or what about replacing the battery, if it had one? Could it use power from the human body? Such a device would probably have a manual remote anyway, just for on/off functions so that your subconscious can't tune in to some random station while you're dreaming.

For those who didn't want implants, radios would probably become even smaller and more efficient separate earphones that simply clipped onto the earlobe. They might be controlled by voice, or by a remote (perhaps a universal remote would be used for all media in the future).
