[b]I want to upgrade to an AVCHD camcorder that records to Flash cards, but I'm not sure which is the best camera. As far as I know its between Sony and Panasonic. here are some basic specs from Amazon:

Code:

[b]Panasonic HDC-SD1[/b]:

3CCD system delivers improved color, detail, and gradation
Leica Dicomar lens with 12x optical zoom; built-in O.I.S.

I'm really confused about the chip sensors. Is the sony's 1/2.9 inch CMOS sensor better than the 3CCD sensor on the Panasonic. I do hear a lot of good reviews of sony's ClearVid CMOS sensor which is similar to the one in the HDR-SR7. But I also hear that having 3CCDs is really nice too. Which one would give me better performance and picture quality?[/url]
