Dualism and monism

yagnyavalkya
Dualism means that there is only one fundamental kind and dualism means there are two and like wise you can increase the numbers
the 1 and 2 aspects of God is much debated in Hindu and other major religion
Actually what I would want you people to tell me is if God then how many must he be?
Does dualism mean Good and evil or the two faces of God
Monism is guess is pretty clear that state that there is one only state

Hm, monism can be an absolute universe and dualism the relative world...

Both can exist in my thoughts!

Well, historically monotheism is used to describe a religion with a single (generally benevolent) god, while Dualism is used to describe a religion with a "good God" and a "bad God". For instance Christianity has only one god, but it also has a "devil", so it is a monotheistic religion but it is also a Dualistic religion. Generally Dualistic religions are God vs. Evil, or Yin and Yang. And obviously Polytheistic religion have many gods, and those gods can be "good" or "evil" or even both. Or in the case of Greek Religion the gods may be simply immortal and nigh-omnipotent humans (extensions of the human being, i.e. emotions, thoughts, drives, etc.).
