Recommendation - using joomla

I am going to be building a website for a friend and have researched cms applications - joomla is what i will be using.
The site is going to need to include a shopping cart - I am new to using Joomla and have read through plenty of joomla documentation. I feel I can put up a very nice site using joomla - What I am wondering is if anyone can recommend a template, shopping cart, gallery, etc... and some template tips for this site that is geared for driveway drains - here is an example website - http://www.alpinemetals.com/index3.html
Please let me know if not enough information is provided in my post and I will try to better describe what I am wanting to accomplish - any info is greatley appreciated

You can search for a shopping cart component/module here. If you don't know already, you can search for a whole bunch of Joomla extensions at the Official Site. I would recommend you to try VirtueMart. It is by far the best Shopping Cart that I can find after testing a few others. It has heaps of features that others don't have.

For the template, you might like to create your own or modify an already available template. I find that the best option since it gives you the flexibility to position your modules etc. in a way that suits what you need.
