The recent announcement of a draft of the human genome was hailed in certain quarters as the
most important advance of this century, greater perhaps even than the Moon-derived
"small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". But is it clear to all what are the
ramifications of the Human Genome Project?
Actually what will be the impact of human genetics on society

If you have a look at what is ethical and what isn't, I would say that cloning a human being simply to create a new human isn't good, but having a few basic cells grown-up starting with your DNA is correct in a medical perspective (sorry for those of you here who are sensitive on this kind of matters). This technology will come up even if we want it or not, and we'd better try to write sufficient regulations than to simply ban it and let the illegal world the the uphand in the debate.

Also, I do not think this has anything to do with god rather than with human ethics.
