*Two moon on 27 August*

*27th Aug the Whole World is waiting for.............*

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.

It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will

cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be

sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth

has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Don't be too disappointed when this doesn't happen. Mars is currently shining at magnitude +0.3, Jupiter (at -2.2) is much brighter. ed. Smile

This story has been going around since at least 2003.
It is FALSE.
ocalhoun
^False, yes, but its not as bad as the one I've heard recently, which is that Pluto will do the same thing (appear larger than the moon)

I didn't actually see anything at all out of the ordinary and I had a fantastic view of the sky last night. I didn't even get to see the lunar eclipse and I stayed up all night for it Sad . Anyone else see anything interesting?
greatfire
