Don't be too disappointed when this doesn't happen. Mars is currently shining at magnitude +0.3, Jupiter (at -2.2) is much brighter. ed.

It is FALSE. ^False, yes, but its not as bad as the one I've heard recently, which is that Pluto will do the same thing (appear larger than the moon)
I didn't actually see anything at all out of the ordinary and I had a fantastic view of the sky last night. I didn't even get to see the lunar eclipse and I stayed up all night for it 
. Anyone else see anything interesting? I saw the eclipse. pretty cool. I really enjoyed it, was a bit cloudy so i had to watch the web stream at times

I missed this though I an noticing a bright star in the morning which I was thinking was Venus and probably is. Mars is a lot further than 36 million miles away by now anyways...
