I'd offer to do it for you, but i think that it's better if you learn.

How to install a SMF forum
1) Go to the simple machines link: http://www.simplemachines.org/
2) Download the full install forum package onto your computer.
3) Upload it to your account...how? i) download the zip file, extract the files, then upload them by FTP into a new folder called "forums"
ii) download the tar.gz, upload it to your account, and log on to your control panel, and unextract/unpack them
4) go to mysql database center. click make new database. type in the information required (you make it up).
5) go to wherever you extracted the forum files. it should be www.yoursite.frih.net/forums/
6) follow the instructions. when you get to the bit about mysql and databases, use the same information you used when creating a database.
7) Done!

may God blessyou.

Phpbb is very good for starting out.

I prefer it over SMF for a lot of reasons, mainly because I feel its more customizable then SMF/

Good luck mate.

phpBB's control panel is too difficult, especially for a newbie. SMF is so simple, that even a monkey could use that...Alright maybe not a monkey...lol

may God bless you.
