Yes , I think it is nice too, but what do you think about
phpbb3 ( www.phpbb.com ) and
mybb ( www.mybboard.com )

They are both great ... I think mybb will be the alternate choice of vbulletin .. it is absolutely free and full of features .

It's SMF, it's free, it even doesn't need you to purchase anything to use it.
