iamarun
Hey guys after a long waiting and searching through the internet i found something very useful.
I have been looking for service where i can send SMS world wide without any cost (for free)

Finally i found one, this web site is really good one, I recommend all of you to register here http://www.mobik.com/mobik/client/?do=app.user_registration_step1to get your free account to send SMS world wide. Sure you will enjoy this.
They are also providing a mobile plugin or software where you can use your mobile (WAP) to send the free sms.

Are you sure you wrote the URL correctly, the site doesn't seem to be down, just the wrong page.

Go to the homepage http://www.mobik.com/

I signed up for it,i sent a couple of txts, only to get the message "message blocked as theres no ad sponser" .. i also tried to download the phone software so instead of sending txts online,i would be able to send them direct from my phone, again i got the message "no ad sponsor"

I read briefly the TOS and i think its all linked to where you live and wether or not they have sponsors in that area,so all in all its a pretty useless service.
Azmo
Agree, it's useless unless they are sponsored in your certain area, the idea is great, but the world is'nt ready for this kind of service yet. Sad but true..

a very useful peace of information but not impressive though........ i mean we all would really apppreciate if we get to know a website from where on we can send sms through our website to our clients or customers for free

There are lots of free sms sites around , but very few actually work.

For India, atrochatro.com works . They even let you put it in your site

I have one on my site at http://fundazone.com/freesms/atrochatro.com.php

EDIT :
It doesn't seem to work now. There was a javascript which you had to paste in your page.

I'd used it earlier, but it just disappeared now.

My favorite to use for sms is my email. I am not sure how it works in other countries, but in the USA you can send it to an email address and it arrives as an SMS in their inbox.

For instance: ATT (formerly Cingular [formerly ATT]) you would send an email to %10 digit number%@txt.att.net

All of the major carries (at least) use this same format, the 10 digit number followed by their domain.

Here is a list of the major carriers:

T-Mobile: phonenumber@tmomail.net
Virgin Mobile: phonenumber@vmobl.com
Cingular: phonenumber@cingularme.com
Sprint: phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon: phonenumber@vtext.com
Nextel: phonenumber@messaging.nextel.com

Here is the link

Also Verizon has a free sms sender on their web-site that allows you to send it to anyone in the Verizon network. Really sweet gadget since it allows you to specify a sender. I did this to my dad when he first purchased his Verizon phone. He actually called the person asking why they kept sending him texts. LMAO.

EDIT: Almost forgot to include another site I used to use prior to the previous knowledge transfer:
KillSomeTime. Uses their SMTP client to send the mail. Just specify an email address (I uses a@a.com) and the receipants 10 digit phone number and carrier.
