Ok I have finished the basic engine for my new puzzle game Similoxes. And I need your feedback... heres the deal

Arrow 10 frih$ if you post back here with your feedback (good or bad) and I will not give frih for something like "Great game!" or "It sucks" I need detials.

I have to say that was quite a good game. Challenging in places and i haven't quite finished all the levels.

Feedback - some of the levels had way too little time for you to make mistakes, try things out etc. You could also do with explaining how things work a little more in the 'How to Play' section. Oh and an undo button would be useful (i did make a few stupid mistakes, which i would have liked to have undone).

Other than that it was a great game.

The problem with giving the amount of time is, I make the puzzles.. so its hard for to judge how much time is needed. so yeah, i can see how that would be a problem

As for an undo button, I wont do that, i have never seen a puzzle game that lets you "duno" something, and I give xtra moves incase someone makes a mistake, or trys to solve a puzzle another way.

As for the "how to play" I have now added to that, to make a quick demo of each item, and becuase of this, I have now added 2 new blocks (that really make your head hurt) A warp block (which is now fully scripted) and a Color changing block (which I have not finished yet) should be done sometime tomorrow, and when thats done, ill upload the version with the new "how to play" and the new blocks.

simply saying something, "sucks" does not cut it as feedback... Also when giving feedback on a game and such.. You cant say somthing sucks just because its "not your taste" you have to give a reason as to why it does not work for the full game (and everybody) as every has given good comments on the music itself. same goes for the animation. Ill send 20 frih$ for now.

Interesting I can't seem to see the game o.O I have flash 9 installed and am using firefox.
Man I so wish to try it.

its not your comp.. its seems DA is having some problems with some flash items.... Duno whats up, but I might need to re-upload it .. which is fine as i alsmot have the next version done. so check back in a day or so.

the game seems to be easy at the beginning but gets tougher as the game progresses.
I got stuck in the 8th level n it took me 2 turns to get it right. I suggest that if one finishes the
puzzle in the fifth,sixth level way before the time, the balance could be added as a bonus in the later levels so that u don't have to take a number of turns to get the puzzles right.

I really liked the game.Its fun.
It certainly has a scope for improvement though.

I could see that game going pretty far. I like the way each block has a different movment and so on. The How To play doesnt really tell you all that the blocks can do though, that might need some work. Other than that, I think that the game is great. it has a great concept and I love that it makes you think more than other "brain games.". Over all, its a great game, and if you ever add more to it, or need another tester, I would be glad to help.

You can keep your Frih$, I played that game because I have nothing better to do right now and you managed to kill some time for me. Good luck with whatever you are going to do with the game. Wink

Yet again, m-productions, you've created a professionally designed game that's well explained and has good game play. Each level increases in difficulty (by an amount that seems reasonable) and requires some thought. When I got game over, however, I couldn't click 'continue' - you'll need to fix that, everything else seemed to work though. And I loved the music, I've found you get it from Newgrounds! I hadn't realised you could. Razz

It might be cool if you were to add in a few other features later in the game, for example blocks that cannot be moved but are there to stop you making certain moves. Just an idea, though. It doesn't need anything else as games such as this are always very entertaining for quite a while; perhaps until you beat them.

Wow, that game is really quality. I like it. It started off really easy but did get quite hard. Its also quite addictive. Like you dont wanna give up. The game is very good, and can go very far.

Wow, I absolutley loved that game. Very inginuitive and I much like the others beleive this game will go very far. I did not see anything really wrong with it besides, on level 3, It said blues can switch with red, but i click a blue then red and it wont switch!?

Crap I see now, the squares have to be in the same row, include that in the how to play?

First, yes, about 93% of the music for my games comes from the audio section of newgrounds, which is why its their lol. (artist always get full credit as well.(but in this case I havnt even added any criedts yet in this (including mine)))

As for the adding more blocks/the "how to play" both of which have been/are being updated already. The how to play section is now 4 game levels that you play, with 60 mins and 999 turns to beat each level (with text on the side explaining how each new box works).

Also, now you dont have to click a blue box first to switch it with a red, you can now select a red and switch it with a blue... as for new box types

1) Orange box - Can only switch with blue boxes
2) Warp box - this box can only move left to right, and can only switch with grey boxes, when it moves, the level flips around (makes for very tuff puzzles
3) Color warpers - these boxes inveted the color of the boxes they go over (depeneding on the color of the box it is) so if it goes over blue, they turn red, and red turn into blues... ect

and thats it for now... I should have the new version up soon.
