Shell accounts?

I know that dreamhost offers this for their webhosting services

it would be nice if we had a limited shell account to use

as i like to work on my site in VIM, and get tired of ftp'ing so much to edit my site

and it'd be nice to ssh right into the server and use vim from their to work on my site

this won't be happening. It has been suggested before and denied. I think it was because of security.
